چکیده

Sorted and aged bottom ash from Waste-to-Energy plants, i.e., MIBA (the Mineral fraction of Incinerator Bottom Ash) are potential source metals that could be utilized to meet the increased demand society. In this work, sunflowers (Helianthus annuus) rapeseed (Brassica napus) were cultivated in conventional evaluate possibility for phytoextraction, mainly Zn, during period one cultivation season Nordic climate. The results show metal extraction using is workable but neither used plants optimal, due inhibited root development low water- nutrient-holding capacities MIBA. addition fertilizer also important growth. There was a simultaneous accumulation numerous both plant types, highest content generally found roots. Calculations indicated incineration contained about 2% contents Co, Cu, Pb comparable those ores. This initial study shows phytoextraction on possible, high.
